101 things to do before you leave CSU #83

by Ro on November 13, 2009

Pull an all-nighter

Credit for accomplishing this 101 thing to do before leaving CSU goes to Dr. Chavez of the Psychology Department. Without his help, I wouldn't have been able to accomplish such a feat as staying up unitl 5 a.m. to type a 5 page paper.

The paper was for my IU 193 class and was one of the hardest things I have done here yet. Although it isn't due until tonight at midnight, I felt the need to get it done with time to proofread. I'm still in the process of doing that. All I'm saying is, it better be an "A". Hint, hint Dr. Chavez.

On the brightside of things

You know when something is so awesome you can't stop looking? That's the feeling I get when I look at my schedule for spring semester. I have no classes on Wednesday and Friday.

I definitely recommend looking at the course catalog ahead of registration and planning out classes and times. That way, you are more likely to get the schedule you want and you're already set to get it.

Hopefully, with next semester's schedule I won't have to pull another all nighter, especially since it's one of the 101 things I've already done. With my extra time, I can still do 97 more things before I leave CSU!

A less than exciting weekend

by Ro on November 6, 2009

Everyone is headed home

Oh how fun it is to be 500 miles from home. Now, I know I don’t have it bad compared to people from Maine and Oregon but it sucks when everyone on every floor is going home for the weekend! I mean, what am I expected to do? Study? (or perhaps I should study) Still, next year I plan not beging around on the weekend after Halloween and before the start of finals week. It’s zero fun.

So what to do now?

Perhaps I will go over my list of 101 things to do and find something I can do since no one is here. Maybe I will pull a crazy, lone-wolf all nighter. I could go hang out by the lagoon and utilize my weekend that way. Check back on Tuesday and hopefully I will have an interesting story to tell and one less thing to do on my list.

My first Halloween (as a college student)

by Ro on November 3, 2009

I’m pretty sure my costume rubbed people the wrong wayhalloween_haunted_house_med

Overall, let me celebrate first that it didn’t rain or snow on the day of Halloween…in FALL. Anyway, it was great to see the college costumes be more “creative” than I’m use to.

I saw a human size breathalyzer, a girl dressed up like Michael Jackson (If you make a balloon boy/Michael Jackson take out joke, you may leave) and Spiderman making his usual rounds through the LSC and around town.

How my costume made enemies

By now you’re guessing what I was for Halloween. My scary mask was a little overplayed so I decided to dress up like everyone’s favorite rapper Kanye West. If you remember his incident with Taylor Swift, you know this won’t end well.

As I was passing people outside, at a friend's house or in the dorms I would get into character and do that infamous scene from the MTV Movie Awards. If you saw it, you understand that I didn't make too many friends doing this. Still, in the spirit of fun, people played along but I think next year I will be something a little less controversial.

All in all, a solid Halloween with some candy and the enjoyment of seeing people dressed up. Although I'm sad it's over, we now make the move toward Christmas!
